Our findings may be particularly useful in education in the field of arts, where the audio description can provide additional information on the viewed work, and – more importantly – direct visual attention of students to its most important elements.
Results of preliminary studies (Krejtz, Szarkowska, Krejtz, Walczak, Duchowski 2012) show great potential for use of audio description in guiding visual attention and hence – increasing the effectiveness of learning.
The project was carried out as an experimental study using advanced oculographic methods on a sample of sixty high school students from Warsaw.
