The Genomic Map of Poland will be created as part of the ”ECBiG – European Centre of Bioinformatics and Genomics” project – the first initiative which is launched as part of the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures. On 22 December, 2016, a contract was signed in the National Information Processing Institute for the project to be implemented – it is the first contract signed under the first Competition announced in the SGOP Measure 4.2 –Development of modern research infrastructure of the science sector.
The project “European Centre of Bioinformatics and Genomics” will be implemented by the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with Poznań University of Technology and DNA Research Center limited liability company, based in Poznań, and will continue until the end of March 2020.Total project value exceeds PLN 104 million from which SGOP funds cover PLN 85 million.
In the first Competition, which was part of the 4.2 Measure of the Smart Growth Operational Programme, five projects will receive funding. Their total combined value exceeds PLN 910 million, and the combined funding value from the Smart Growth Operational Programme funds will exceed PLN 560 million.
