The key aim of the project is to describe the regarding practices related with texts available through electronic devices, especially those with Internet access.
We survey the practices at three levels: cognitive, qualitative and quantitative in an attempt to verify the thesis that the Internet as a textual medium threatens deep reading practices and related intellectual processes enabling conscious and full participation in culture.
Our research is conducted in an experimental mode and uses advanced eye-tracking methods.
