The main task of the project is to create a global database of scientific institutions and collecting information about Polish science. A system of information on higher education in our country will be established.
By February 2013, we have collected data from more than 110,000 researchers and science employees, and more than 1.1 million students. Thus far, the following thematic modules have been commissioned:
- system administration (such as dictionary management, user management and authorizations, securing access to data in the system);
- entities (for example a register of higher education institutions and research units, implemented quality systems);
- register of private universities;
- fields of study (definitions of faculties and fields, institutions’ permits to teach a given field);
- students (for example, reports on the number of applicants and students enrolled full-time and part-time, ECTS credits, information on financial aid);
- researchers (data on academic degrees and titles, positions held at the university, staffing minimums);
- financial aid (for example information on irregularities, financial aid analytical reports);
- financial statements (statements, material and financial plans);
- analytical modules (reports on candidates and enrolled students, reports on the activities of the university, statistical reports);
- PhD / post-doctoral degrees (for example records of degree conferment);
- electoral system for the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles (for example, administrative tools, tools for candidate selection);
- science promotion activities (scientific conferences, awards and prizes)
