Commercialization – a key word for the Polish research policy.So far, it has been associated with attempts to transfer research results to business sector applications. OPI wants to pave a new way, and help entrepreneurs reach out to researchers, seeking help with the challenges they face.
Ośrodek Przetwarzania Informacji (OPI) holds databases on Polish scientists, scientific institutions and ongoing research and development works. It is thanks to these rich resources that we are able to offer our services to businesses. The idea is simple: after identification of a specific business need of a company, we look for a researcher or group of researchers who will be able to solve the problems standing in the way of innovative plants of entrepreneurs. We hope that in this way the knowledge, experience, and results of work of the Polish scientists will more effectively contribute to the development of the Polish economy.
In connection with our idea, we are gradually sending out to all researchers registered at theNauka Polska (Polish Science) database and in theSupport System for the Selection of Reviewersan invitation to complete a short questionnaire. The answers will help us find scientists willing and ready to work with entrepreneurs. On the basis of the gathered declarations, OPI will form a group of experts with whom we will be working on projects commissioned by businesses.
