Modern entrepreneurship of women

Archival project

Women Integration and Skills for Entrepreneurship

The main objective of the project was an international comparative analysis of educational policies in the area of women’s entrepreneurship and its implementation in different countries.

In addition, the project involved identifying and disseminating good practices in the European system for education and training of women entrepreneurs. Another objective was the discovery of the relationship between labor market needs of entrepreneurs and the training offer, as well as testing of model training courses in real conditions.

The starting point of the project was the observation that women running companies, in particular in the field of information technology and telecommunications (IT) notice a distinct lack of:

  • Definition of specific needs of women,
  • education and training strategies aimed at changing the working environment and atmosphere to a more women-friendly;
  • effective training tools to help in self-assessment, self-fulfillment and the ability to use all the possibilities and chances.

The WISE project identified needs of women entrepreneurs in the IT sector and set out guidelines and criteria to adapt the training modules to market needs.
