The project objective was to prepare an educational portal with games for children that would provide parents with a professional opinion concerning the development of their children.
Information content of the site was associated with the areas of assessment and directions of development of young children, so that parents could receive personalized information about cognitive and social development of their child. Regular use of the games on the portal allows parents to track their children’s progress and development, while its social features enable the exchange of experiences between parents and contact with experts in the field of psychology and development.
The study used a research approach calledresearch through design. We have carried out three creative sessions from experts in child development and parents. We used a variety of methodologies:
- experience sampling;
- mind-mapping;
- snow-ball technique;
- speed-dating technique;
- textual probing;
- affinity diagram.
