The aim of research conducted using methods of content analysis was to verify the hypotheses related to the level of aggression in the words of Internet users, and the low level of substantive discussions on-line.
We analyzed not only the culture of expression on the web, but also its determinants and scale of the problem of the “culture of insult” .
The Internet is for many young people the first, and very often the main source of information. Content found in it in a very significant way shapes opinions and attitudes. Therefore, the conclusions from the basic research into the Polish Internet should be taken into account when planning the use of this medium in education and as an important factor affecting the development.
