Archival project
The aim of the project was to build a culture of evaluation in the public scientific institutions, in particular in terms of efficient use of funds financed from the 6. and 7. Framework Programme.
The project covered universities, branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences, research institutes, other organizations that use or intend to use research funding of the European Union, as well as public institutions involved in the management of these funds.
Results of evaluations analyses of Polish scientists’ participation in the 6. Framework Programme have been prepared in the form ofpublications, they were also promoted in scientific and public institutions. During regular conferences in four Polish cities (Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław) the interested public was presented with recommendations on how to increase the efficiency of participation in EU research programmes, improve the evaluation process in the 7. Framework Programme, raise public awareness in terms of understanding the need for evaluation of activities carried out using public funds.
